The Order of Spiritual Alchemy takes the candidate through twelve distinct steps developed by ancient alchemists to purify the candidate's soul. This is an arduous spiritual path resulting in the transformation of the candidate's personality, body, mind, ego, soul and spirit. Most members consider this transformation as a miracle long before the transformation is complete.
The first of these twelve steps is Calcination. The work of the Octagon Society and Temple of Solomon help prepare us for this arduous alchemical work. Without this preliminary work, Calcination would be almost impossible and would take a long time. Those who properly prepare are able to complete this phase in about a month.
